Jung In Sun, CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk, EXID’s Hani, and more dish on “How To Be Thirty”, share advice for younger fans
“How To be Thirty” is a relatable romance drama that follows the work and love lives of women who have just entered their thirties. Jung In Sun stars as successful webtoon author Seo Ji Won, while CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk plays her new publisher Lee Seung Yoo, who also happens to be her first love from middle school.
EXID’s Hani plays the role of Seo Ji Won’s close friend Lee Ran Joo, an announcer who achieved success at an early age, while Song Jae Rim plays movie director Cha Do Hoon, who is in charge of directing the film adaptation of Seo Ji Woon’s webtoon. Finally, Cha Min Ji plays Hong Ah Young, a passionate entrepreneur who is a warm friend to both Seo Ji Won and Lee Ran Joo.
In the newly released interview, the cast members talk about their characters in the drama, then reflect on their own real-life experiences from when they turned 30 years old.
“I started to feel like I needed to act differently towards my colleagues in their twenties”, recalls Kang Min Hyuk. “Before, I was always the youngest, but now that I wasn’t the youngest anymore, I spent a lot of time pondering how to treat my younger colleagues.”
Meanwhile, Jung In Sun confesses, “I started to feel a little scared. I still felt very young, but after I turned 30, people started asking me, ‘You already turned 30? Are you 30 already?’ And I thought, ‘But I’m still young. Do I have to grow up now?’”
