“The Penthouse“ has released exciting new stills from its upcoming third season! Are you expected to the new season of drama? 

The hit SBS drama centers around a luxury apartment complex reserved for those at the top of the social pyramid. It focuses on a group of women pursuing revenge who will stop at nothing to protect their children. Recently,The Penthouse has released exciting new stills! 

Shin Eun Kyung And Yoon Joo Hee Bicker As They Adjust To Prison Life

The newly released photos from The Penthouse 3”  feature Kang Ma Ri (Shin Eun Kyung) and Go Sang Ah (Yoon Joo Hee), who are adjusting to their new life in prison. Kang Ma Ri is a nouveau riche who has been living a double life as a professional scrubber who scrubs down bathers in a public bathhouse. Go Sang Ah is a former announcer who would sacrifice anything and everything for her husband Lee Gyu Jin (Bong Tae Gyu) and son Lee Min Hyuk (Lee Tae Bin).

The two incredibly greedy characters are people who resort to any means necessary to get what they want in terms of money and power. Once the truth was revealed that they disposed of the body of Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah)’s daughter Min Seol Ah (Jo Soo Min) and covered up her death, they were both sentenced to a year and six months in prison.

The best friends are now living a completely different lifestyle than what they’re used to, and they show off unique chemistry while in prison. In the stills, the ladies get into an argument over a snack that Kang Ma Ri had a hard time retrieving and was therefore trying to hide. While hand-washing some clothes in the bathroom, Go Sang Ah notices Kang Ma Ri and approaches her. Kang Ma Ri seems to be offering her the snack, but she then points a finger at her friend’s chin in the next photo, making viewers question what kind of scuffle the two could possibly get into while in prison.

After bringing both laughs and tears to viewers through Seasons 1 and 2, Shin Eun Kyung and Yoon Joo Hee reportedly remain scene stealers in the upcoming Season 3. Especially for scenes like this one, where they must bicker back and forth, the two actresses are said to have prepared diligently to make things as realistic as possible by encouraging and being considerate of one another.

The producers commented, “Shin Eun Kyung and Yoon Joo Hee are actresses who are role models onset due to their professionalism, their incredible focus that ensures they don’t miss anything, and the ideas and passion with which they express their characters. First glimpse of Yoon Jong Hoon and Bong Tae Gyu

At the end of The Penthouse 2,” doctor-turned-entrepreneur Ha Yoon Cheol (played by Yoon Jong Hoon) and lawyer-turned-National Assemblyman Lee Gyu Jin (played by Bong Tae Gyu) wound up in court along with the rest of the Hera Palace Club. Recently, “The Penthouse” has shared its first glimpse of Yoon Jong Hoon and Bong Tae Gyu

When Oh Yoon Hee (played by S.E.S.’s Eugene) confessed to the murder of Min Seol Ah (Jo Soo Min), the ugly truth about Ha Yoon Cheol and Lee Gyu Jin’s roles in covering up her death came to light—and both men were sentenced to two years in prison each.

On May 21, the smash hit drama released its first stills of the two characters from its upcoming third season.

As they attempt to adjust to the vicious jungle that is prison life, Ha Yoon Cheol and Lee Gyu Jin involuntarily get swept up in the fierce power struggle between the inmates. When Lee Gyu Jin accidentally runs into a member of the mob in the prison bathroom, the former National Assembly member is visibly terrified and cowers in fear as he gazes up at the intimidating gangster.

Meanwhile, Ha Yoon Cheol appears to have been somewhat hardened by his experience in prison: the light in his eyes has seemingly vanished, and he glares coldly at someone in the room with an expression that hints at his thirst for revenge.

In another set of photos, the two men stare at the floor in shock before passionately applauding someone with looks of awe.

Praising the two actors for their flawless portrayal of their characters and their warm, playful personalities off-camera, the producers of “The Penthouse 3” remarked, “Bong Tae Gyu and Yoon Jong Hoon are actors with distinctive charms who strikes the perfect balance between fun lightheartedness and seriousness.”

They went on to add, “Please keep an eye on how Lee Gyu Jin and Ha Yoon Cheol, who wind up facing danger upon danger, manage to survive prison life.”

The kids prepare for their final battle

The kids of “The Penthouse” gives off a more mature vibe than before as they each show different facial expressions that indicate their positions.

Kim Hyun Soo played Oh Yoon Hee’s (Eugene‘s) daughter Bae Ro Na, who was almost killed by Ha Eun Byul (Choi Ye Bin) and Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon). She was saved by Shim Soo Ryun (Lee Ji Ah) and exposed all of Joo Dan Tae’s misdeeds. Bae Ro Na’s bright smile suggests that she has found peace and calm.

Jin Ji Hee acts as Yoo Je Ni, the daughter of Kang Ma Ri (Shin Eun Kyung) and Yoo Dong Pil (Park Ho San). Yoo Je Ni became close with Bae Ro Na after she exposed the school violence perpetrated by Joo Seok Kyung (Han Ji Hyun), Ha Eun Byul, and Lee Min Hyuk (Lee Tae Bin), but when her mother was sent to jail because Oh Yoon Hee turned herself in for the murder of Min Seol Ah (Jo Soo Min), Yoo Je Ni said to Bae Ro Na, “You better be prepared. My dad won’t let this slide.” Yoo Je Ni, whose father has returned, appears to be pleasantly surprised by something.

Kim Young Dae and Han Ji Hyun played Shim Soo Ryun and Joo Dan Tae’s twin children Joo Seok Hoon and Joo Seok Kyung. In “The Penthouse 2”, Joo Seok Hoon began to search for the truth after starting to suspect his father for trying to killing his mother and Bae Ro Na. Joo Seok Kyung initially threatened Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) out of her desire to win the Chung Ah Arts Festival, which would have guaranteed her acceptance into the prestigious Seoul National University. However, once she became suspicious that Joo Dan Tae had killed Shim Soo Ryun, she started to help Cheon Seo Jin. Joo Seok Hoon and Joo Seok Kyung, who had a tearful reunion with their mother Shim Soo Ryun, look determined.

Choi Ye Bin returns as Ha Eun Byul, the daughter of Cheon Seo Jin and Ha Yoon Chul (Yoon Jong Hoon). She had been the one who held a trophy at Bae Ro Na’s neck and caused her to fall down the stone steps during the Chung Ah Arts Festival, but her father turned himself in for the crime instead. Ha Eun Byul, who disappeared with Jin Boon Hong (Ahn Yun Hong) in the previous season, is on the verge of tears in the preview for the upcoming season.

Lee Tae Bin plays Lee Gyu Jin (Bong Tae Gyu) and Go Sang Ah’s (Yoon Joo Hee‘s) son Lee Min Hyuk, a character who has been angering viewers by bullying Yoo Je Ni and even revealing Kang Ma Ri’s secret to Yoo Je Ni, who had no idea her mother was scrubbing people’s backs for a living. Lee Min Hyuk comically looks somewhere in surprise with his cheeks full of food.

As the seasons progressed, the actors playing the kids in “The Penthouse” showed more amazing acting performances that portrayed the detailed relationships between the characters as well the changes within the characters.

The drama’s producers commented, “The kids of ‘The Penthouse 3’ will engage in another fierce battle as part of the final college entrance competition. Please keep an eye on the steps taken by the ‘Penthouse’ kids who have escaped from the shadows of their parents and are becoming more independent characters.”
