The Cast Of “Coffee Prince” May Be Reunioning For New Documentary

According To MBC Responds, The Cast Of “Coffee Prince” May Be Reunioning For New Documentary. It Is The First Time In 13 Years With A Brand New Show

On August 21, News1 reported that a new documentary project was being made about “Coffee Prince” that would feature the lead actors. This documentary project is rumored to launch in September on DOCUFLEX. Rather than focusing on the cast’s reunion, however, the documentary is reportedly set in an interview format about the meaning of youth.

“Coffee Prince” is an 18-episode mini-series that aired in 2007 about a woman named Go Eun Chan, who pretends to be male in order to get a job as a café waiter and pose as the fake boyfriend of Choi Han Kyul, who is trying to avoid an arranged marriage. The drama scored high ratings at the time and most of the cast, which includes Gong Yoo, Yoon Eun Hye, Lee Sun Gyun, Kim Dong Wook, Chae Jung An, and Kim Jae Wook, have gone on to stellar careers.
The drama spawned an entire merchandise and export range to overseas as it was popular both domestically and overseas. The drama also popularized the Hongdae area, including the playground and the coffee shop used for filming – now still open for visits.

Many netizens are highly excited about the documentary and the reuniting of the cast, as many consider it their “life drama”. Who’s ready for the Hangyul-Eunchan ship to sale!
