Red Velvet members, GFRIEND’s Yerin and Apink’s Hayoung show support for Joy’s solo debut
On June 6, some artists support Joy’s solo debut, Joy shared some photos and videos on her Instagram Stories. The first set showed the Red Velvet members visiting Joy backstage, with the exception of Yeri. In the caption, Joy wrote, “The unnis came to cheer me on this early in the morning. Yerim [Yeri’s real name] is filming her drama.”
Another photo showed GFRIEND’s Yerin and Apink’s Hayoung. The three idols are known to be close friends because they are the same age, all born in 1996. In the caption, Joy wrote, “My friends came to cheer me on. Thank you!”
Red Velvet’s Joy made her solo debut with the remake album, “Hello,” on May 31.
On May 31 at 6 p.m. KST, the Red Velvet vocalist released her solo debut album “Hello”, which is a remake album.
The title track, a remake of Park Hye Kyung’s 2003 track “Hello”, is a modern rock song with hopeful lyrics about forgetting the difficult past and starting fresh. The remake was arranged by KENZIE.
