NU’EST’s Minhyun and Jung Da Bin shared their thoughts on co-starring in the upcoming JTBC drama “Live On”!
“Live On” is a romance drama set in the broadcasting club of Seo Yeon High School. Jung Da Bin plays Baek Ho Rang, the school celebrity and social media influencer who enters the club for suspicious motives, while NU’EST’s Minhyun plays Go Eun Taek, the head of the club who is strict and a perfectionist.
Ahead of its premiere, JTBC gave a closer look at the drama with new stills. In the first teaser, an interesting announcement that was broadcasted to the school from an anonymous student seemed to make Baek Ho Rang nervous about what’s to come. As the target of the anonymous student’s message, Baek Ho Rang begins to receive attention from the other students. With the mystery student refusing to back down, Baek Ho Rang gets involved in a silent war against them.
Viewers can look forward to finding out who this anonymous caller is as well as the relationship that will develop between Baek Ho Rang and Go Eun Taek as Baek Ho Rang suspiciously joins the club.
Minhyun shared how he prepared to make his acting debut through the role of Go Eun Taek. “About 70 per cent of the script consists of scenes where Go Eun Taek meets with Baek Ho Rang, so I think I practised a lot because of that,” he said.
Minhyun went on to describe his experience working with Jung Da Bin on set. “It was really helpful that she approached me first when I wasn’t used to being on set in the beginning,” he said. “She recited her lines and helped me look in the right direction even when she wasn’t being filmed in that particular take.”
He added, “I have a lot to learn from her as she’s a senior actor, and I’m once again very thankful for her.”
Jung Da Bin commented, “As I was rehearsing with Minhyun and our director, we worked on our positions and lines a lot. I think we were able to coordinate better as we continued to film, to the point where we could say each other’s lines.”
She continued, “While we were filming, I talked to Minhyun a lot, and I think we both did our best to finish filming the last half of our drama while sharing with each other the things we enjoyed and the things we were lacking in.”
