The romantic drama will revolve around the campus-wide search for a mysterious person known as M, who drops buzzy posts on the online community page of Seoyeon University. As the entire school is thrown into a frenzy, the characters mentioned by M in the anonymous articles start seeing each other in a romantic light. It is a spin-off of the popular web series “Love Playlist that aired on Naver TV and V Live in 2017.
Jaehyun will be playing Cha Min Ho, a year two college student in computer engineering. He comes up with an idea and develops an app, proving his skills in his field. Min Ho is described as a free spirit who embodies the charm of youth and is friendly and gutsy to boot.
Acting alongside him is Park Hye Soo, who previously played notable roles in JTBC’s “Hello, My Twenties!” (2016) and tvN’s “My Shy Boss” (2017). The closest encounter that Joo Ah has had with romance is through other people’s relationships as she has never had a boyfriend before.
Other cast includes Kim Sae Ron and Bae Hyun Sung, who were both introduced in “Love Playlist 4”. They will be set to return to the show. “Dear.M” has been reported to not be a part of the “Love Playlist” season franchise but will be a spin-off contained in the same fictional dramaverse of Seoyeon High and University.
