In a recent interview with 1st Look magazine, Lee Jae Wook discussed “Alchemy of Souls,” his connections with SF9’s Rowoon and Ahn Hyo Seop, and more!
In reference to the impending “Alchemy of Souls” sequel, which picks up three years after Part 1 and is now in production, Lee Jae Wook said, “After the conclusion of ‘Alchemy of Souls’ [Part 1], I had precisely one week to reorganize. The week vanished in an instant once I completed all of my unfinished tasks. Given that, three years later, I lacked the willpower to accept Jang Wook. Filming initially proceeded slowly as a result.
It was a little challenging to comprehend and portray my character appropriately.
Lee Jae Wook discussed his resemblance to Jang Wook after getting beyond that obstacle. “I think Lee Jae Wook and Jang Wook from ‘Alchemy of Souls Part 2’ are very much alike as people. I periodically feel the need for a drink, just like Jang Wook does in the drama’s drinking alone scene. whenever I have the stuff to organize. As I continue to develop, I stop occasionally to reflect on the kind of person I have become. When I consider these facts, I realize that Jang Wook and I share a lot of similarities.
Lee Jae Wook has his own set of reliable pals, much like Jang Wook did in “Alchemy of Souls” with Mu Deok (Jung So Min). The actor stated, “Rowoon from [SF9], whom I met while filming the drama “Extraordinary You,” is that kind of person to me.”
We have comparable worries, therefore there are many [takeaways] from our conversations that remain, he continued. He’s a friend who makes me grateful every day, even though we get together frequently. Ahn Hyo Seop is one of the friends we get out with as well. We get together for drinks and have extensive conversations on many topics.
On December 10 at 9:10 p.m. KST, part 2 of “Alchemy of Souls” will debut.
