In this September, there will be 5 BTS members enroll in graduate school. To be more specific, they will attend MBA Program at Hanyang Cyber University.

According to the report, five BTS members, except for the youngest member Jungkook, have recently enrolled as new students at Hanyang Cyber University for the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program in Advertising & Media.

Big Hit Entertainment also stated:

RM, Suga, and J-Hope enrolled in Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in March last year, and they are currently attending this school. Jimin and V will enter Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in September.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, graduate applicants will partake the interview for the graduate school online. Hanyang Cyber University is one of Korea’s 21 virtual universities, and the school finalizes their list of accepted students following an interview screening of those who pass the written application.

A source from Big Hit Entertainment also clarified, “The members’ enrollment in graduate school is not a matter related to their military service, and they entered the university because they are all interested in learning.”

In 2018, a new military law lowered the maximum age at which male Korean citizens could delay their mandatory military enlistment. Most Korean men born in 1992 must enlist in the military by 2020. Recently, the actor Woo Do Hwan, who was born in 1992, has joined the military as well.
